I'm sure I'm just overlooking the option, but every VM I setup sets the NAT adapter to a "wired" connection and bridges through my Debian hosts laptops WiFi connection.
How would I go about make the VM think it has an available "WiFi" connection option just as if it were a laptop with both wired and wireless?
Is there any special "Guest" hardware configurations out there where you can specify the hardware or am I just thinking beyond the capabilities at this point.
Thanks for your time.

There's nothing that can be done with only Virtualbox settings, since all virtual network adapters presented by Virtualbox are wired Ethernet adapters.MrDeplorableUSA wrote:How would I go about make the VM think it has an available "WiFi" connection
If you get a Wi-Fi USB adapter, then Virtualbox's USB Filters can pass the device directly into the VM for it to see as a Wi-Fi connection.

Thank you, I'll give that a go I guess. I have an older Linux compatible DLink USB dongle from some old Pis that should work for that.
