Windows 10 guest Aborted

Post by Eki »

My Windows 10 vm just one day hang out and status was aborted not powerewd off.

Windows just starting and text in Finnish accurs: Valmistellaan automaattista korjausta (In English:Preparing for automatic repairing)
after that it just hangs. And state/status get Aborted.

I already tried to change to
Start vm and first place power off it, so it's not aborted, but power off: No effect
| | 3d acc -> |x| 3D acce. 128 -> 256
I also tried to change cpu 2 -> 3, or 2 -> 1
No effect
I also tried to boot from iso. To reinstall: it also hangs.

here is few lines of vbox log

Code: Select all

Provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

It looks like you may be suffering from the USB emulation problems of 6.1.38. If you can do without USB then you can disable it - this is also a good quick test that the diagnosis is correct. If you can't do without USB until the next release then revert to 6.1.36.

FWIW, this wouldn't have helped, because the VirtualBox USB 3.0 issue is a regression in VirtualBox 6.1.36 and 6.1.38.
