2 seperate ssdis, each with it's own Manjaro installation. One is virtualbox host, and attempting to boot second one as vbox guest which stops with grub at "grub rescue" prompt and a fail cause listed as "symbol grub_debug_malloc not found.
Any ideas on how to correct this condition ? I've reinstalled grub on the client and booted the failing Manjaro raw metal. (The client is a vmdk client.)

Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.
But take note: this sounds like a problem with Manjaro, in which case you should look for help on a Manjaro support forum.

Problem was with grub and an old version of normal.mod. Had 2 versions of grub installed, one on each ssd. Eliminated second ssd and all is well now.
