I just ran into the same problem with the dedicated installer (virtualbox-6.1_6.1.34-150636.1~Ubuntu~jammy_amd64.deb). Then tried going back to 6.1.32 using the generic installer (VirtualBox-6.1.32-149290-Linux_amd64.run), which does not help either. I guess, the only thing we can hope for is this bug will be fixed in 6.1.36 since Ubuntu is a major distro with a large user base so this might catch the developers' attention. Until then, I will go back to Ubuntu 20.04 as host OS.
