Is possible mount the machine virtual disk (vdi) to be read in host OS ?

I believe it's possible on Linux hosts, but it's basically a feature of Linux, not a feature of VirtualBox. So any corruption will be on your own head.

I suggest Googling for answers "mount VDI Linux Hosts".

Personally I would consider it safer to launch the VM and then access its selected folders as network shares.
