Using windows key in opensuse guest

Post by droidus2 »

I am trying to use i3 in my opensuse VM. When I type WIN+ENTER, it does not do anything. When I use the soft keyboard, it works. How do I fix this?

I'm not sure what "i3" is.

Is Opensuse programmed to respond to the Windows Key? Opensuse = Linux, but Linux != Windows. :D

A web-search "what does Linux do when the windows key is pressed" seems to show that the Linux OS can be programmed to act in a desired method for the Windows key. Also, you should run a keyboard input reporting program in the VM to see if the Windows key actually gets into the VM. (It should, if the host OS doesn't do something with it first.)
