vboxnet0 missing after reboot

Post by AcidWindsurf »

Hi guys, I'm having a strange issue. Running Ubuntu 20.04 LTS, VBox 6.1.26
Whenever I restart my system, vboxnet0 disappears. That causes all of my virtual machines not to start until I manually re-create that network (because all of them make use of that virtual interface).
When I first Installed my system (kernel 5.4) everything worked fine, but after upgrading to kernels 5.8/5.11 vboxnet0 fails to be automatically created.

Before asking anything more specific, could anyone tell me what log files should I check for errors? any config file to pay attention to?

Thanks in advance
