Although it took quite a long time to install, the result was quite a pleasant surprise. I had been using VBox/Win-7 for those rare occasions when I needed Windows and had tried running Win10 in the past with VERY slow results. The version I found to try is Windows 10 Home 1903.
It seems actually faster and smoother than "7" so I am posting this for anyone who needs some help.

Glad you got good results this time!
Some issues over 10 running slow can be resolved by questioning them in the forum and posting the VM's zipped vbox.log using Upload Attachment tab. We have found some workarounds that can help.
