Hi all- first time post, and it's a pretty generic post.
I'm running Kali on VirtualBox 6.1.22 and I can't get the screen to resize correctly. Guest additions are installed, Video Memory is at 128mb, and I've tried VMSVGA and VBoxVGA graphic controllers.
In Kali under Display settings, I've tried to change the display size. It momentarily changes to the desired resolution size but then readjusts back to 600x800. In the VBox display settings, Maximum Guest Screen Size is Automatic. While running, I cannot select automatic resize because it is greyed out.
I've looked at the various suggested fixes and can't determine the problem so I'm coming here and posting it.
I've attached the log file here. Hoping this is a simple fix, never had this problem before though.

Looks like they haven't got installed yet:cosetta wrote:Guest additions are installed
These are the fork of the GAs provided by the base Linux distro Kali uses. These may not (in your case will not) work.Guest Additions status:
00:00:16.255758 VMMDev: Guest Additions information report: Version 6.0.0 r127566 '6.0.0'
Follow the Prerequisites https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch02. ... win-prereq inside the VM, then install the GAs https://www.virtualbox.org/manual/ch04. ... ions-linux
