I'm running VirtualBox (6.1.16) on Ubuntu (5.8.0-59-generic #66~20.04.1-Ubuntu, "focal fossa"), and am trying to run multiple Windows 7 guests with page fusion turned on. The first boots up just fine, but when I start the second, it hangs just after switching video mode. After that, the entire VirtualBox system becomes unstable, and I cannot start/stop/use other VMs. The problem occurs every time, at the same point, when page fusion is switched on. However, if it is switched off, everything is fine. I've attached the log file for each VM.
Any suggestions would be much appreciated!

Zipped logs will fit in one upload.
A recent post on another topic said the folks were able to get their VMs running again by removing page fusion.
Page fusion is not a topic that comes up a lot in the forum. Could be there's a bug in that code. You might try a Bugtracker post, with a zipped log file with Page Fusion on and another with PF off.

Thanks for replying. It does work fine without page fusion, and if needs be I can use it like that. But it's taking quite a toll on the host system's RAM, and I was hoping that using page fusion might save some.scottgus1 wrote:Zipped logs will fit in one upload.

Sorry about this! It's actually two different logs, both short. Oops!scottgus1 wrote:Zipped logs will fit in one upload.

I'm experiencing something similar to this as well on VB 6.1.22 with Ubuntu 20.04 LTS Kernel 5.4. (Link: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=98063)
Essentially, my host kernel would Page Fault after doing minimal guest activity if Page Fusion on, on multiple Win 10 VMs. Turning Page Fusion off fixed it. Before upgrading, I was on 5.2.42 and had no issues with Page Fusion.
