VirtualBox on Centos 7 Guru Mediation Error

Post by Unstoppable Geek »

I setup a virtual box with 4 GB of RAM 120 GB disk. I connected the CDROM to an ISO image. I start the VM. I get a guru mediation error. I am not sure how to fix it. This is running on Centos 7 2019. I also noticed that one of the bridged networks isn't showing up in the list of network adapters....

See attached log file. Its a zip file. It exceeds the 128 mb limit. Please help.

The guest OS is using a Linux 2.4 kernel? What is the guest OS, precisely?
!!!!!!!!!!!!!
00:00:13.569194 !!
00:00:13.569195 !! VCPU0: Guru Meditation -79 (VERR_INVALID_STATE)
00:00:13.569204 !!
00:00:13.569210 !!
This looks like KVM is running and therefore conflicting with VirtualBox for ownership of VT-x.

28 physical cores? That's a beast of a CPU you have there.
