Hello, can you help me?
I was running out of hard disk space so I entered virtual media management and increased from 40gb to 100gb, apply the changes and close, but when I re-enter it no longer opens, the linux ubuntu OS starts and it goes black. like waiting for you to enter some key but it doesn't do anything or start

thanks

I can't imagine any reason why that would happen. That the extra space is not visible inside the guest (and what to do about it) should be no surprise if you read the FAQ. But the VM should still boot.

Was it a GPT drive? GPT locates a backup copy of the partition map at the far end of the drive - obviously if you increase the drive size it will no longer be at the end. I would not expect that to cause boot failure, it's only a backup after all. And hopefully a partitioning tool would fix it.

Are there any snapshots involved? It's possible that modifying the base disk in a backup chain could have nasty effects. Basically: just don't ever do this.

Are you sure you haven't forgotten to mention some step? E.g. cloning a drive can have this effect with Linux guests.

Did you make a backup before trying this?
