:D Problem solved. How did it solved? It was a dual-boot system that I am using, therefore the relative addresses of the disks connected to virtual machine was different. To delete and change them , you must release the disks and add them again. This would cause changing .vbox file. In dual-boot you might get error because of file permissions. Hence, mounting the partition with the rights to read, write and execute worked. I hope I had summerized it in a correct way.

Thanks very much for your help.

(For the performance issues with running Virtualbox on Oracle Linux if there would be any, I would postpone to test it in the future. For now I am running it on another linux system.)

Ah, that makes sense! OK, here's how to prevent this in the future: have the disk file in the VM folder next to the .vbox file. Then the disk paths will all be relative and the VM will start on any supported host OS.

Thanks for reporting what fixed it!
