Stupid question

ON the main virtualbox interface there is a pin by the tools menu!
what the hell does it do on linux!

My "main virtualbox interface" has no pin, and no Tools menu either. Perhaps a screenshot would have been useful.

Meanwhile, moving this discussion to "Linux Hosts".

In the VirtualBox Manager, you can scroll the list of VMs in the left pane (if you have more VMs than fit into the window, of course). The pin keeps the Tools entry from scrolling.

Does it do something different in your Linux host?

Ah, I see it now. I was looking for a menu item, not a column heading.
