Full screen mode is not working as expected - there is a large black border around the guest screen. This was working however I did an apt update/upgrade recently and this seems to have broken something and I'm not sure what's wrong
VirtualBox guest additions has been re-installed and auto-resize guest display is checked. I have also attached the vbox.log

Re: Full screen Windows 10 on Ubuntu host not working
The VM got suspended and resumed then reset, and was still running when the log was taken. So a full diagnosis may not be possible. But it didn't seem to have any trouble running. Guest Additions seem to load OK, and 3D acceleration seems to be working.
3D acceleration depends on host drivers. Could these have broken?
Try another run of the VM from full power off, no extra suspends or resets. Get the VM logged in, change it to full-screen, then change it back to window mode. Then shut down the OS. Then zip and post the new vbox.log.

Re: Full screen Windows 10 on Ubuntu host not working
Thanks. I tried disabling 3D acceleration and that seems to have worked so I think you were right about the host drivers breaking
