Bridged Adapter Name not listed

Post by lhboyd27 »

The adapter name for my RHEL8 system is not listed as a selection option in Oracle VM VirtualBox Manager. Oracle shows adapter name enp0s25 but the adapter on my VM is enp0s3.

How can I get enp0s3 added as a selection choice in VirtualBox? Thanks.

Are you perhaps confusing host and guest?

In the VM configuration, you select network adapters of the host (e.g. for bridged networking mode). The names of the virtual network adapters provided to the guest are fixed (e.g. enp0s<i>, i = 3, 8, 9, 10, ...).
