We don't handle the main Virtualbox website here. This is the user-to-user forum. I'm not certain if 22.10 is officially supported yet, but it will be eventually.

well, that would explain why mouse support is not working. Frustratingscottgus1 wrote:We don't handle the main Virtualbox website here. This is the user-to-user forum. I'm not certain if 22.10 is officially supported yet, but it will be eventually.

What's wrong? Maybe 22.10 isn't the problem.hanscees wrote:mouse support is not working

After upgrading ubuntu to 22.10 kinetic virtualbox 6.x didnt work anymore.
I don't remember, but I think mouse and keyboard didnt work.
I only use it to run windows10 for one application.
Then I upgraded to virtualbox 7.x and then mouse and keyboard still dont work properly. It cathces the mouse when I startup windows in the vm from scratch, but looses it after freezing windows (snapshot) and restarting.

Please try a fresh new VM, see if you get proper operation.
Also, check that you're using X not Wayland.
If neither of these work, Start the VM from full normal shutdown, not save-state. Run until you see the problem happen, then shut down the VM from within the VM's OS if possible. If not possible, close the Virtualbox window for the VM with the Power Off option set.
Right-click the VM in the main Virtualbox window's VM list, choose Show in Explorer/Finder/File Manager. In the "Logs" subfolder, zip the VM's "vbox.log", and post the zip file, using the forum's Upload Attachment tab. (Configure your host OS to show all extensions so you can find the "vbox.log", not "vbox.log.1", etc.)
