Get update errors in VB

Hi,

In the VB terminal, wen I do a sudo apt update command I get ..

Err:1 http://security.ubuntu.com/ubuntu focal-security InRelease
Temporary Failure resolving 'security.ubuntu.com

and similar lines thereafter.

In the Host Linux it works fine with that command. It's just in VB.

What am I doing wrong here ?

EDIT:
I see my browser 'Can't connect' either so maybe a network error, yet the host works.
ifconfig shows the correct VB IP# and 'no errors'

Please provide a VM log file. Make sure the VM is fully shut down, then right click it in the manager UI. Select "Show Log" and save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip file. Attach the zip here.

I tried another sudo apt update and got this..

E: Could not get lock /var/lib/apt/lists/lock. It is held by process 1440 (apt)
E:Unable to lock directory /var/lib/apt/lists/

EDIT:

Somehow, I am now able to get updates through VB terminal.
