I have recently updated my VM VirtualBox to 6.1.38_Ubuntu r153438 with the correspondent Extension pack from the repo download.virtualbox.xxx/virtualbox/debian focal InRelease (full site missing to overcome the 1day 1post rule) on an Ubuntu 20.04.4 guest machine.
I have a VM running raw from an SSD with win 10 on it. To add a second screen capability, I installed the guest addition CD from the opened and working VM following Devices > Install Guest Additions CD image. Everything went smooth, and I installed the VBoxGuestAdditions_6.1.38.iso.
I turned the VM off, but now it is not booting. In the log file (full log attached) I could locate the error :
