Hi im on Ubuntu 20.04.4 LTS with latest updates, using Virtualbox 6.1.34.
I have a w10 vm as guest, that suddenly is aborted. It passed three times... The thing is to make some work i have to leave it open all day, and when i come back, i see that the vm is not open, is aborted.
I attach the logs if anyone can help me...
Because i have to begin again the work...
Thanks

Re: Suddenly and many tiemes a guest vm aborts without a reason
The first two logs show a regular proper shutdown of the VM. These logs also show enough free host RAM available to provision the VM's 8GB RAM setting.
The last two logs show a VM running for 18 hours and almost 23 hours, then the VM OS goes unresponsive. These logs also show not enough free host RAM for the VM's 8GB RAM setting: RAM is overprovisioned in these runs of the VM.
A long-running VM that suddenly dies off looks to me like either a VM OS issue, not a Virtualbox issue, or not enough host RAM being free for the VM RAM. The RAM question is still a question to me, though: when host RAM is too thin, Virtualbox has a Guru Meditation about handy pages and not enough pages, etc. So the RAM shortness might not be the problem.
Look inside the VM OS for event viewer indications.

The VM OS you refer to the windows10 in the guest no ?
If so, what do i have to do to to get logs or releveant information from w10 ?
Thanks for your time and help

Correct.edufissure wrote:The VM OS you refer to the windows10 in the guest
That would be a good question for a Microsoft forum or help materials. The Windows Event Viewer might have something.edufissure wrote:what do i have to do to to get logs or releveant information from w10 ?
