Hi,
I would like to install Linux on a PC from 2010 (Processor: AMD Phenom(tm) II X4 925, 2800 Mhz, 4 kernels, 4GB RAM).
On this Linux host I would like to run VB in which I want to install a Linux distribution.
My question: which Linux for the PC on which VB turns without problems and which Linux for VB?
Regards
Alooha
On which Linux versions does VB run without problems?

Same question as here: https://www.linuxforen.de/forums/showth ... e-Probleme
Same answer: It depends!
What is the goal of that setting?

The goal is a gain in security.

Are you worried that the 2010 PC won't be secure? The age of the PC doesn't necessarily preclude running a secure OS. See if the PC can run a modern Linux. If it can, it's quite likely the PC will be kept secure from malware, provided the usual safe practices are used in running the PC. Any PC can be undermined by the operator.Alooha wrote:gain in security
If you have a certain security concern, please be more specific.
