Recovering my Virtual Machine from Snapshot

Post by mainkivi »

Greetings,
Acidentaly I delete my vdi file from a Virtual Machine and I try to recover from a Snapshot, but it is not possible.
I try to "rename" one of the snaphost file to the virtual machine original file, but it not works.
Please, can somebody help me to recover my virtual machine without the original file .vdi?
By the way, sorry about my english.

Does this mean the vdi was only disconnected from the VM, or did you actually delete it, as in it is gone from the host computer?

A snapshot is not a backup. You cannot "recover" a VM from a snapshot.

The only way to get this VM going again is to restore the missing vdi file from your backups.
