Update 6.1.2-135662 ?

Post by quizerti »

Is there a 6.1.2-135662 update available? I am shown a download link when I start VirtualBox which works for this version, but I am reluctant to update as the update is not currently shown on either the Downloads or Changelog pages.

This is the link being offered to me: https://download.virtualbox.org/virtual ... 62-Win.exe

I have no idea what happened to the earlier thread with people commenting they cannot install the extension pack for this version:

Hi.
I have updated to the latest version of VB but when trying to install the Extension pack it never ends. Any ideas?

I confirm the same issue on 2 Windows hosts.
So, you are not alone with this.

A ticket has now been opened for this issue: https://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/19225

This seems to be the main thread discussing the issue: viewtopic.php?f=6&t=96409

OK, so it appears that the files inside the Extension Pack (it's a gzip archive) do get put into the Virtualbox Extension Pack folder, but the progress bar never goes away. I rebooted the host, force-closing Virtualbox in the process, and Virtualbox came back up with the EP installed, and with guests that depend on EP features working.
