[WorksForMe] cant copy and paste

I am running windows10 as my guest and host machine. Version 6.0.12.

I have bidirectional enabled. The copy and past has never worked either way. What else can I do?

Did you install the Guest Additions in the guest? These are required for shared clipboard.

Also keep in mind that shared clipboard is not for file transfer, only text and a few kinds of clipboard-copied images (not image files).

If you have installed the Guest Additions, please post a guest log: Shut down the guest from within the guest OS, so that it is fully shut down, not save-stated. Start the guest again. When you're logged into the guest OS, try the clipboard share. Then shut down the guest from within the guest OS again, so that it is fully shut down, not save-stated. Zip and post the "Vbox.log" using the forum;s Upload Attachment tab.

I do not know what you mean? Since I do not know what you are referring to then I will assume no?

I only plan on copying pasting just text anyways.

That's probably correct, then. You will need the Guest Additions for shared clipboard. See the Virtualbox help manual, section 4.
