When i try to install kali on virtual box i get a critical error and it shuts down.

I looked in the logs and it says error -2701

Your guest had a Guru Meditation. The error -2701 is also called "VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION" in the log.
The guest locked up while booting from EFI apparently:

Then guru'd.

When I make a guest that I call "kali linux" the New Guest wizard does not turn on EFI. Did you turn on EFI intentionally? Can you try without EFI?

Googling VERR_VMM_RING0_ASSERTION showed viewtopic.php?f=6&t=82956 and viewtopic.php?f=7&t=79837#p373236, suggesting another program might be trying to use VT-x, which is quite likely on your Windows 10 host (see I have a 64bit host, but can't install 64bit guests Carefully go through each command in the 2nd & 3rd posts.)
