Hello,

I use Virtualbox on Windows 10 Pro.
The guest OS is Ubuntu 18.04.3

If I use my cdrom drive on Ubuntu, the drive is locked and I can't use it on Windows and can't open it until I shutdown Ubuntu.

How can I use the cdrom drive on Ubuntu AND on Windows alternatively without shuting down Ubuntu?

I tired an Ubuntu 18.04.3 guest and was able to access the host CD drive both in the guest and on the host at the same time, in fact both opening the same file at the same time. Tried it twice, once with passthrough off and once with passthrough on, success both times..

Can you zip and post a log file from this guest, starting from cold boot of the guest (not save-stated), to full log-in, to seeing the issue with the CD drive you have, to full shut-down of the guest from within the guest OS (again not save-stated). Post the zipped log using the forum's Upload Attachment tab.
