I have installed VirtualBox version 6.0.8 on windows 10, and running a windows 10 VM.
I configured the VM network settings to be attached to "Host-only Adapter" and it successfully connects to the internet.
However, once the VM is running, all devices connected to the network get an IP assigned via DHCP from the VM.
How can I stop this? TIA

Re: Virtual Machine acting as DHCP server
That doesn't make sense. The "only" part in the "Host-only" name means that this virtual adapter can communicate only with the host, and is not connected to the physical world i.e. the Internet.ronnyvdb wrote: I configured the VM network settings to be attached to "Host-only Adapter" and it successfully connects to the internet.
If you want the VM to have full interaction on a physical network then you need to be using Bridged Networking mode.
If what you describe is really happening then part of the story is missing: e.g. if you were to use a host feature to bridge two network cards, one of which is host-only, then that would be an error.
