Hi all,
Running VBox 6.0.8 on Windows 10.
Most of the time , I work attached to a docking station with an old mouse. In my guests, pushing the scroll-wheel down generates a button 2 event, resulting in pasting the clipboard in my Linux and Solaris guests.
When working standalone , with a wireless Logitech Nano, that mouse generated up to 9 button events, but pressing the scroll-wheel does NOT generate a button 2 event, so I cannot paste the clipboard.
Pressing left+right (button 1+3) does not generate a button 2 event.
Any ideas on how to fix this ?
Thanks !

Re: Logitech Nano: no button 2 (paste) in guests
Hi again,
After another good night of sleep, it turns out the scroll-wheel push on my Logitech Nano 810-00209 is the -only- button that cannot be reprogrammed to become a middle click, at least on a Windows host.
Duh. So, pushing the wheel will -never- generate a button 2 event. I was able to program the scroll left/scroll right buttons to generate a button 2 event, to paste. So that issue can be put to sleep now.
As a side note, it appeared that on my Lenovo Thinkpad the physical middle mouse button was set to scroll. Not generating a button 2 either. Setting that to middle click now also generates a button 2 .
All set, select and one click paste now works fine.
Kind regards,
Rene
