GUI scaling is broken

Post by thany »

I'm on a 15" laptop with a 4K screen, set to 250% zoom. On this display, all is good.
I've connected a 27" 1440p ultrawide, set to 100% zoom. On this display, everything is blown out of proportions. The window title bar, the buttons, icons. Only text is rendered correctly. This goes for the main window, for every VM window, and all other windows/dialogs.

If VB happens to have started on the secondary monitor, and then moved to the internal display, it also displays incorrectly - as if some elements are too tightly packed. I suspect when the main issue is resolved, this won't happen anymore either.

A picture is worth a thousand words, so I've attached two screenshots.

I'm running Windows 10 build 1809. VirtualBox just freshly updated itself to 5.2.26.
