16MB video memory isn't a viable configuration for a modern GUI based OS. You should probably increase this to 128MB (or more if you enable 3D acceleration).VBox.log wrote:00:00:05.106799 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000001000000 (16 777 216, 16 MB)
These messages (and the tortoise icon) show that VirtualBox is attempting to use Hyper-V as the virtualisation mechanism as it can't get a direct hold of the VT-x capabilities of the CPU. If you disable Hyper-V in Windows (along with all the hidden things that use it) then you should find performance improves and the guest become usable.VBox.log wrote:00:00:05.107060 HM: HMR3Init: Attempting fall back to NEM: VT-x is not available 00:00:05.179702 NEM: WHvCapabilityCodeHypervisorPresent is TRUE, so this might work... ... 00:00:05.181318 NEM: Adjusting APIC configuration from X2APIC to APIC max mode. X2APIC is not supported by the WinHvPlatform API! 00:00:05.181323 NEM: Disable Hyper-V if you need X2APIC for your guests!

My crystal ball is currently broken. If you want assistance you are going to have to give me all of the necessary information.

In some cases you can. VirtualBox 6.0.0 introduced that feature. But not yet everything is working, we still haven't figured out what makes it "sing"... See "VirtualBox 6.0 and Hyper-V".
BTW, I don't know what this thread is doing in the "Windows Guests" section, it's a "Linux Guests" on a "Windows Hosts" question. Moving to the latter...
