Gotcha.

Now, I'm getting this:

Code: Select all

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Ubuntu2.

Failed to open image 'C:\Users\fredf\VirtualBox VMs\Ubuntu2\Clone.vdi' for writing due to wrong permissions (VERR_VD_IMAGE_READ_ONLY).

AHCI: Failed to attach drive to Port0 (VERR_VD_IMAGE_READ_ONLY).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}

Neither the VDI file nor the containing folder is read-only in Windows.

I can't tell you anything that the error message doesn't, except that the message is not wrong.

Apparently some annoying permission issue. I exited VB and reran it as Administrator and didn't get that error. Unfortunately, it only got me back to the same problems I experienced before.

I think I'm just going to go ahead and revert back to my snapshot of a few months back.

Thanks again for all of the help.
