[Resolved] VBox 5.2.22 + Mint Linux 18.3 guest blue-screens

I've been using VirtualBox for years. After upgrading to 5.2.22 from 5.2.20 recently, everything seemed to work fine until after I also upgraded the Guest Additions.

Now, it blue-screens the host every time I start my Mint Linux VM.

More host details:
HP 8470p laptop with 16GB RAM, Windows 10 Enterprise version 1703, build 15063.1387

I have checked that Windows Hyper-V is completely disabled. The VM is given 5GB RAM, so that should not be an issue.

The blue screen says that the "stop code" is: PAGE FAULT IN NONPAGED AREA

Stepping down to 5.2.20 to see what happens.

Edit: : No luck. Installed 5.2.20. Exactly the same thing. [SOLVED] Lucky that my VM is installed on its own SSD. I booted into Linux. Uninstalled the 5.2.22 Guest Additions. After that, I boot up the VM and installed the 5.2.20 Guest Additions. Everything is good, at least for now.
