Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.

VBox.log wrote: 00:00:12.203565 Host RAM: 4095MB (3.9GB) total, 682MB available

You are allocating RAM you do not have. RAM and CPU is not emulated in a VM, you must actually have it available to give. You must reduce the RAM allocation to the guest and/or make more RAM available on the host.
VBox.log wrote: 00:00:12.514305 VRamSize <integer> = 0x0000000001000000 (16 777 216, 16 MB)
That is not much graphics RAM for a modern desktop host.
VBox.log wrote: 00:00:12.513851 NumCPUs <integer> = 0x0000000000000001 (1)
You have a 4 core host. You can afford to give 2 cores to the guest.

I can say no more because the log is incomplete. Note the part of my instruction which said "With the VM fully shut down ...".

Essentially it does not change - that's 512 allocated! And to sense - 0!!!
The whole system hangs

The log stops at 12 seconds. And you might not have noticed it twice already what mpack told you, so let me try to highlight it:

Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.
Do NOT reply with the "QUOTE" button, please use the "POST REPLY", at the bottom of the form.

You really don't understand what's going on?
1.Run the program
2.Running an Ubuntu virtual machine
3.It starts
4.Starting the installation
5.Vol... Okay! The whole system freezes
6.I reboot system and then I send you a log

What's wrong?

If the whole system freezes then you most likely have a problem with your host (e.g. disk or RAM), not with VirtualBox. Please note that a VM uses a lot of host resources. It is not at all unusual that it will trip over host problems that other apps don't notice.

If only the guest is frozen then you can still shut it down by clicking the close button on the Window and we would not be getting partial logs.

If you cannot provide a complete log then this conversation will go no further.

Your log file seems to suggest that you are trying to install Ubuntu 18.10. According to Installation/SystemRequirements the minimum requirement is a dual core CPU and 2GB RAM. I'm not sure how far you will get with only 512MB allocated.

Your log file says that there is 2.6GB free and so I would try pushing it up to 1GB or 1.5GB.

Before the update - there WERE no problems! Installed the new version + vbox extension pack = get a complete system stupor! The blue screen of death is not even after 10 minutes and there are no problems with iron!
P. s.The disk was checked at the beginning of the month Victoria hdd and RAM checked.

As you say, the situation has not changed - upgrading Windows will do nothing for a hardware fault.
