VirtualBox openSUSE Error

Post by p3core »

Hello,

I am not able to install openSUSE Linux on VirtualBox...
My Host OS is Windows 10 64-Bit and I am always getting an error...
I tried different options but still result is negative...
I also tried to install Fedora Linux and I am getting the same error...
I am attaching VirtualBox Logs for your reference...
Any help to resolve this error will be much appreciated...

Thank you

Regards,

Praveen Thomas

00:00:22.619416 !! VCPU0: Guru Meditation -2403 (VERR_TRPM_DONT_PANIC)
This is the Guru Meditation that you're getting.
00:00:00.943898 HM: HMR3Init: Falling back to raw-mode: VT-x is not available
00:00:01.186128 Full Name: "Intel(R) Core(TM)2 Duo CPU E7200 @ 2.53GHz"
Unfortunately, your Core2 Duo E7200 does not support VT-x. So, you can't run this VM as is. Your best bet would be to try something from the 4.3.x series, the 5.0.x series or the 5.1.x series. All of them are unsupported. Or try an older guest. Newer guests have the tendency to require VT-x on the host, even if they're 32-bit.

However, in a recent comment, the developers hinted that it should be fixed in a later release (see the comment by 'bird'). No word yet on the specifics or an ETA...

Hello @socratis,

oh I see!, so that's the issue...
I will go ahead and install an older version and play around with it...
Thank you very much...
