64Bit Vista Host can not read my second USB Device...

Post by nycjv321 »

I have a new laptop with a 64bit edition of Vista but my voice recorder does not support the 64bit edition of Vista so I decieded to use a Virtual Machine of Windows XP 32bit, it loads my first usb device (thumbdrive) fine but it does not load my voice recorder

This is the Error I get:

USB device 'OLYMPUS IMAGING CORP. DIGITAL VOICE RECORDER' with UUID {0c290abd-47e5-46ed-8bb3-76045974092a} is busy with a previous request. Please try again later.

Result Code:
E_INVALIDARG (0x80070057)
Component:
HostUSBDevice
Interface:
IHostUSBDevice {173b4b44-d268-4334-a00d-b6521c9a740a}
Callee:
IConsole {d5a1cbda-f5d7-4824-9afe-d640c94c7dcf}

If my problem is that something else is trying to access it how can I find out? and how to "fix" that problem?

First, let it install without the Guest running. Then boot the guest, let it keep focus, remove the voice recorder and plug it back in. Be sure that you have a proper filter for it. You might have to do this twice, in case Windows comes with the VB driver.
