I am trying to test installation images by making bootable USBs. I need to make several bootable installation USB drives with different OS on them and want to test them in Vbox to verify functionality and successful installation. Is this possible? Right now I can't even see any USB drives via the Devices/ USB menu, it just says "no usb device connected". I'm not proficient with Vbox so any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm running windows 7. I have installed the extension pack but still cannot see any USB drives that I plug in.
I'm aware of booting a Plop image to boot USB... just can't see any drives
Needing to test OS installs from bootable USBs but cannot see USBs in Vbox. Is this possible?

No. There is no support to boot from USB in VirtualBox. USB support is only available through the guest OS after installation.
