aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED error, Windows 10

Post by vitopian »

Hello,

I am using an application called Nox which uses VMBox. The app runs but will crash within a few minutes to a few hours without any error message. Examination of VMSVC.log file shows the final entry as shown below, repeated literally 8000+ times:

ERROR [COM]: aRC=E_ACCESSDENIED (0x80070005) aIID={88888888-a0a1-4391-8b86-6952d82efaa0} aComponent={MachineWrap} aText={The object functionality is limited}, preserve=false aResultDetail=0

All troubleshooting efforts have failed. The complete log file is attached. Any guidance would be appreciated!

My pc is running Windows 10 Pro 64 bit.

Kind Regards,

PS. The attachment file has under 100 lines. Over 8000 lines were removed to reduce the file size enough so it could be uploaded on these forums. The remaining 8000 lines were identical to the last few dozen lines with the exception of the timestamp which continued to increment by a fraction of a second.

Please post a VM log file. With the VM fully shut down, right click and "Show Log" in the GUI, save "VBox.log" (no other file) to a zip, and attach the zip here.
