Wifi problem on Linux vm on Windows 10 host

Post by tnt84268 »

I can't seem to connected to any wifi network on my linux vm. The vm detects the usb adapter and is able to use it but the adapter can't connect to a network. The usb adapter is not broken as it works fine in my host machine.

The usb activity thing at the bottom right also doesn't turn green, it either stays red or blinks red.

I've looked up other posts with similar issues to mine but none of their solutions work.

Do you have drivers for that USB adapter in your guest?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

Please read the following thread: USB basics and troubleshooting, all of the posts.

If you still have a problem after reading through the whole thing, please follow the advice of the last post, #8: Asking for help and post the information requested.
