[NotSupported] Critical Error when trying to install Kali Linux

Post by Dumdum29 »

Hi, I am getting the critical error message when trying to install kali linux. After booting the VM from the Kali disc image, I can select the install options, but I get a critical error when eother trying the Install option and also the Graphic Install Option.

My host computer is an old laptop running windows 7 64bit. The CPU is an intel T5550 which I believe does not support VT-X, hence I am trying to install the 32-bit version of Kali.

Any help would be appreciated, although I'm thinking maybe the laptop hardware is just too old.

Log attached

thx

See my post in the thread "[NotSupported] Kali Linux 2018.2 32bit critical error" and substitute "Pentium E2140" with "Core2 Duo T5550".

Oh, and it might be beneficial if you were to continue reading that thread...

Thanks for the reply.

Guess I will have to stick to my desktop until I get a new laptop.

Thanks again

Hi,
I get a similar error. I'm using a Dell i5-2520M CPU with VT-x enabled. What could be hindering Kali from booting up? Please assist.

missincode, please open your own thread and post the logs, just like it is instructed here. But don't post in already resolved threads just because they mention "Kali". ;)
