Hello everyone, I have a question.
I do not know if it's possible, but I've tried it and so far it will not work.
I have an old printer with parallel port (epson stylus color 480, this worked fine up to windows 8 if I installed the driver "in previous mode".
this does not work in win10.
So I think when I install winvista in virtual box and I can link the parallel port with the real port that I have to be able to print with that thing.
It does not want to work.
What have I done:
right mouse button on the virtual operating system - settings - serial port.
I adjusted the settings there (see drawing)
Then I started the virtual vista and installed the driver of the printer.
And try to print a test page.
Virtually it seemed fine but physically nothing happened.
Can someone help me?
Thank you in advance.

Those are quite different ports, serial and parallel. See the following FAQ: Enabling and Configuring Parallel (LPTx) Ports.zwio wrote:settings - serial port.
