I didn't realize that this was a random problem! Did I miss something? I don't think that you mentioned that this problem is "random". That's not the impression I was under, and I did re-read the thread from the beginning.

You need to keep looking at your host. Something is going on there. Check the Event Viewer. I haven't seen any other reports about that, but the fact that you're on the Fast ring does *not* help.

Have you ever seen this with other VMs? Can you try? If you do, I want to see a VBox.log from a failure, not a random log.


PS. I'm going to change the thread title to something more meaningful from "Is there a way to disable unused devices?". That part wasn't making too much sense, you do *not* want to disable your keyboard and mouse.
