Issue: Network Bridged Wireless Connection

Hi,

I have read the forums, support, FAQs etc. but can't seem to find a solution.

Issue: Network Bridged Connection Wireless

My setup:

Host OS: Windows 10 latest
Guest OS: Windows 10 latest

VM verson: tried both latest 5.2.8 & also 5.1.30

In host Windows 10 "VirtualBox Host-Only Network" is "Enabled"

Symptom:

When I install Virtual Box, all is ok and guest machines starts with bridged connection (wireless). I shut down and then try to re-start machine and receive following:

"Failed to open/create the internal network 'HostInterfaceNetworking-Dell Wireless 1830 802.11ac' (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).

Failed to attach the network LUN (VERR_INTNET_FLT_IF_NOT_FOUND).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)

I uninstall Virtual Box and reinstall and it works again the first time. On subsequent reboots of the guest machine - the same error happens.

Any guidance appreciated.

Hi,

I am disappointed that nobody has responded after 2 days!

I have researched further and gathered that virtualbox doesn't play nicely with bridged wifi as I have found (why offer it then in that case?)

I am just using the NAT and have mapped storage in the local network and it is working without issue. I also found that installing the guestadditions as improved the experience immensely.

So I am up and running but just disappointed at the lack of response.

I have same problem. VB: 5.2.8, Host: Windows 10 (1709) x64. List of availble interfaces for bridge is empty.
The problem appeared after minor Windows updates last night.
