Googled the error but found numerous different fixes, none that have worked.
I installed the portable version on a thumb drive and when trying to start it the following comes up..
The virtual machine 'VB1' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'K:\Portable-VirtualBox\Portable-VirtualBox\data\.VirtualBox\Machines\VB1\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

- Portable VirtualBox is not VirtualBox, hence not supported here, they have their own support.
- This is not the log that you were asked to include, this is the VBoxSVC.log.
- Please ZIP your logs next time. It helps save a (virtual) tree or two
- Read really carefully the following FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues for some guidelines/ideas.
- Take a look at #1 again...
