Hi.
I have old HP 82335A ISA GPIB Interface. I would like to run it on 64bit Windows, but it does not have 64bit drivers.
I want to install the drivers on Windows XP 32 bit Guest system, then remap just the result: GPIB port to Windows 7 64bit system.
Guest: Windows XP 32bit
Host: Windows 7 64bit
Is it possible to do it?
Thanks.

No. You can't "remap" a GPIB port. Virtual Machines use virtual hardware.Mykeil wrote:then remap just the result: GPIB port ... Is it possible to do it?
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

If you obfuscate any information requested, I will obfuscate my response. These are virtual UUIDs, not real ones.

Re: Running 32bit drivers on 64bit host using 32bit virtual machine
I bought Trenton Systems BPG6544 PICMG 1.3 Backplane Board
Block diagram http://cdn2.hubspot.net/hubfs/3455205/P ... iagram.jpg
It uses PCI Express and has ISA and PCI slots.
I want to connect it to my Supermicro computer board and map the hardware connected to PCI and ISA, since I will not have 64bit drivers for it.
It was silly to think that it can be remapped I will have to share gpib outside guest os somehow.
Thanks. Regards,
Mykeil
