i looked and found stuff for NT and newer only. seems that the windows 95 version have been completely abandoned. why not provide a link to the latest windows 95 version instead of trolling.

You really aren't good at encouraging cooperation, are you. Go to the topic and search for the word BearWindows. You will not (and did not) find any discussion in that topic of NT since NT has no need of it: all NT versions of Windows are served by GAs.

now it was there but there is still a problem because windows 95 have no zip integration and finding a version of zip that works in windows 95 is not easy. i can not copy from my system to the virtual pc after all.

Unzip the files on your host. Bundle files into an ISO using your favorite host CD/ISO tool. Attach ISO to VM.

Btw, even if that wasn't the obvious solution: the ZIP format predates Windows. E.g. the DOS tool "pkunzip" will run perfectly well in a DOS shell in Win9x. I'm sure you could also find an early example of WinZip if you looked for it. You could put that in the ISO too.

i know perfectly well that there is dos versions of zip and that i could have used that if i had it. i do not have it and i have no idea where i can find it.

...so, just for unzip files under win95, Did you try Winzip 7.0 or even older, Winzip 6.x?

It's nothing about VBox, but I confirmed 7-zip 9.20 also work under my guest Win98SE. It may work under your win95.

Anybody with half a brain can find WinZip on Google in about 20 seconds. It's only 6 letters after all. But, if someone refuses to help themselves then there's nothing I can do about it, nor would I want to. Nor will I try again.

the big question is wether the website works under the old version of internet explorer as i have to download it from within the emulated environment. if i knew where to get a windows 95 compatible browser i could just install that and go to the website. i usually use winrar because it supports more formats but i do not know which version of winrar i can use in windows 95. the winrar site should work though.
