Hi,
Something I can't realy explain.
I've setupped Virtual Box on my laptop (my laptop runs win 10).
I have 2 VMS which suffer from the same problem: 1 vm is Ubuntu and the other one is Windows Server.
The problem is that when i choose, under "Network" to do "bridged connection" (and i select the network card of the laptop) => then I have IP address and i can connect via MSTSC and such, but can't browse the web (don't know why). Whenever I changed the network connection type to NAT => everything works great (but then, i don't get an ip like i want to so i need the bridged mode).
Anyone has a clue as for what did i forget?.
Thank you.
No Internet when using Bridged?

Re: No Internet when using Bridged?
If you have an external router handing out IP addresses then you ought to be able too see that in the routers "connected devices" page. If you don't have an external router or server handing out IP addresses then that would explain why you can't get internet.
Also, I hope that the guest OS is configured with defaults for networking, and that you hadn't e.g. tried to configure it for static addressing.
