[Solved] VERR_SUPDRV_HARDENING_EVIL_HANDLE after upgrading WIN10 Version 1709

After updating WIN10 update 1709, all of my Oracle VB hosts fail with same error. I've uninstalled and reinstalled Virtual Box client with no change.
I also get the same error trying to create a NEW host.

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Ubuntu 17.x.

I've attached the hardening log as well.
Any ideas?

The virtual machine 'Ubuntu 17.x' has terminated unexpectedly during startup with exit code 1 (0x1). More details may be available in 'D:\Virtual Machines\Ubuntu 17.x\Logs\VBoxHardening.log'.

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: MachineWrap
Interface: IMachine {85cd948e-a71f-4289-281e-0ca7ad48cd89}

Please read really carefully the following FAQ: Diagnosing VirtualBox Hardening Issues.

In your case start by uninstalling TrendMicro and Kaspersky, especially the latter one, it seems to install way too many "filters".

Unbelievable, I've been Running VB with Kaspersky for Years without issue.
After the last Windows update 1709, it appears that something changed and Kaspersky WAS at fault.
Uninstalled Kaspersky and now it is able to launch the vdi

Thanks

The interactions between software are (or will soon become) the subject of a course in the "Advanced Chaos Theory" series... ;)

Glad you got it going and thanks for the feedback. Marking as [Solved].
