I don't have a clue, but if I were to guess, I'd say not really...
Unless you try some 3rd party software. Try MediaInfo to see what it thinks...
Do NOT send me Personal Messages (PMs) for troubleshooting, they are simply deleted.

I think container information is broken. For sure this file does not have only 1 min 5 s. It is so strange that VLC media player does not even play it for 1 min 5 s. It stops playing much earlier, just a few seconds.

If at least I could grab some frames, I could write a text with pictures instead of a video...

I have also been searching these forums as I also suffer from corrupted WebM videos captured from VirtualBox.

One way I use to play my videos is to re-encode them with HandBrake - while this isn't the most ideal solution, it does work, for me at least.

The issue has been fixed with 5.2.9 r121058 (or later) from the test builds. Please verify or deny if it works or not in ticket #17307.

Okay, the graphic corruption does seem to be solved.

However there is another problem. The length of the video seems to be mis-reported. I have uploaded a video and attached it with some screenshots and a clipboard copy from MediaInfo. The length of the video is around 30s, but shows as 1m 23s in some media players. When you view the video in Media Player Classic, it shows 0:30 in the seek bar. However in Windows Explorer and when viewing file information in MPC and Gom Player, the file length is shown as 1:23.

Link to file, as it exceeds attachment limit on forums: https://nofile.io/f/mkccuhv1euc/vb.zip

I noticed that for your file, didn't notice that when I made a similar capture for a test on my host (OSX 10.11.6) with either 5.2.9 r121062, or the dev. build 5.2.97 r120712 (soon to be updated). Will give it a try on a Windows host, I assume that's what you have, right?

Yes, that's right. Windows 10 64-bit.

I should have also said that the MP4 file is what I encoded with Handbrake.
