VT-x not available - what happened?

Post by MIRKOSOFT »

Hi!

I succesfully installed VirtualBox 5.2 and tested VMs.
Until today all was working correctly.

Today I tried to run VM and it reports that VT-x is not available.

Eror copy:

Code: Select all

Failed to open a session for the virtual machine Windows 7 32bit.

VT-x is not available (VERR_VMX_NO_VMX).

Result Code: E_FAIL (0x80004005)
Component: ConsoleWrap
Interface: IConsole {872da645-4a9b-1727-bee2-5585105b9eed}
I checked BIOS for Intel Virtualization Technology and to be sure I confirmed it twice.
Then I tried again - nothing helps.

Where I did mistake - yesterday I installed some software - where and how to fix it?
Thank you for each reply.

I had large VBoxHardening.log, so I compressed it into RAR archive, here's:
VBoxHardening.rar
(17.19 KiB) Downloaded 12 times

I found problem!

I look into installed Windows components and found checked Hyper-V.
Really don't know how Hyper-V can install itself - or it was for installing Visual Studio components.
