How to enable multicast on Ubuntu guest machine?

Hi,

I'm using a Linux guest machine (Ubuntu Server). I'm running Home Assistant on it and it looks like multicast packages are blocked by VB. I'm using a bridged adapter and I have set up promiscuous mode to allow all. Any ideas on how to fix it?

How did you determine Virtualbox blocks them? Did you sniff for mcast packets in the guest to prove they are passed to the interface? Maybe it's the firewall there.
